I have put up some pictures and information from some of the places I have been to, and there will be more to come.
Travelling and photography are two of my hobbies. I work full time with something completely different, and I don't have more money or holidays than the average person. In other words, I try to take advantage of cheap tickets and special offers, but I have to say that from time to time I like to stay somewhere nice and luxurious even if it means cutting down on other things. I have stayed in very simple and cheap accommodation as well as fairly expensive hotels.
Very basic accommodation can be okay especially if you only want somewhere to sleep. The atmosphere of the place does not always follow the price, sometimes small family run places seem to have that "little extra" which makes the stay enjoyable and special. I have to say that the same is true of restaurants. Last summer we were guided out the emergency door of a "quality" restaurant where there was a huge "argument" going on in the kitchen!

Some people have e-mailed me asking where I stayed, or if I could recommend a good place to stay. Well, it is always a bit risky to suggest places, but I have decided to put up some links to hotels where I have had a really good stay. Please don't take these as any sort of guarantee.

Hopefully you will find some useful information by clicking on to some of the links. Buying a good guidebook before you go away on holiday is also smart, and a good way to plan a nice holiday.
